Hugh is in
great demand as a water colour tutor. He teaches at
Mairangi Arts Centre, New Zealand Fellowship of Artists
with art groups throughout New Zealand, and at his own
regular classes at Warkworth, New Lynn and Mairangi Bay. The Workshops are usually of one or three day duration and can be tailored to suit your group. Hugh and his wife Joy recently returned from a four month tour of the UK and Perth Australia where they were invited by the SAA, a UK art co-operative with more than 70 groups attached, to teach watercolour painting. Their trip included a week on the remote Isle of Lewis in Scotland with an eager art group, the Newtown art festival in Mid Wales, the Chilterns Art Group at Bledlow in the Chiltern Hills, a large group of Birmingham artists at Sutton Coldfield, and a three day workshop with 22 eager Kentish artists in the little village of Rough Common near Canterbury. On the way home, the couple stopped for a workshop in Pemberton, a small bush town four hours south of Perth, Western Australia. The success of the trip enabled the Bradings to repeat the journey to the UK in 2006. Now back in Warkworth Hugh is putting together his usual watercolour painting workshops in Snells Beach, New Lynn, Mairangi Bay and Whangarei. Hugh is a tutor with Mairangi Arts Centre and NZ Fellowship of Artists. He has invitations to teach in the coming months with Howick art group, Papakura group, and workshops in Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Southland. |
